ACE Credit Registry Change? Transcripts Services Ending
#91
ACE says I'm supposed to receive an email when my "badges"/credits are ready on the new platform, but I haven't received anything. How would one log into Acclaim to access their account?

Yeah ridiculous when neither ACE nor Acclaim allow to add either one to their list of organizations, nor they know how you registered on the other if at all. I really wished they had given more thought to this transition or not changed it since it already worked well.

This is a mess... ACE had to transfer all credits / badges to Acclaim automatically... or they should ask for our Acclaim account and transfer all courses at a time.

I had heard in the past that it's recommended to register an account with ACE to register credits even if your school accepts or requires your credit from an alternative credit provider directly. Is this still the case or has that changed with this new system?

My final destination is COSC so I know they accept courses through Sophia by Parchment for example.

My question is CAN I or SHOULD I also set up an Ace account ? IS there a benefit ?

Once you get your credits sent to Ace account are you no longer able to get the alternative credit provider like Sophia to send transcript directly to COSC?

I am a little confused. Thanks if anyone can help!

Yeah haven't figured out how to add new course one has completed into Acclaim?!?!

All my computer certifications were automatically added to Acclaim. I used the same email address with Comptia , MS and Acclaim. Now how to figure ISC2, thats registered to a different email address.

ahh figured it out... .you can add additional email addresses into your Acclaim profile. Once I added it, the ISC2 CISSP popped right into my Acclaim dashboard!

Pathfinder ... no ACE will not accept any new classes.

The service has moved to Acclaim.

You cannot add courses to Acclaim. They can only be added by the course provider.

Contrary to what others are saying, you CAN still sign up for an ACE account. They have not disabled this. You can also still add courses (so far as I can tell). They've also eliminated the notice on the login page about the switchover. Perhaps they're unofficially holding off until some issues (like certain providers not having ACE badges) get ironed out. I have no idea. If there is a reprieve, it's a temporary one.

There is no benefit to creating a new ACE profile, however, unless you have old credits that you need to add. Since you're talking about Sophia, I'm guessing that this is not the case. I would not bother with creating an ACE account right now.

Once the process has completed, however, there will be no "official" ACE transcript as there is now. Instead, everything will be on YourAcclaim/Credly. When you finish a Sophia course, for instance, they will send you a congratulations email. In this email will be a link that you can click on to get that course's badge added to your profile.

TESU now says this on the transcripts page:

" TESU requires an official transcript for ACE-reviewed professional training, which as of November 2020, are provided through the Credly’s Acclaim Platform, and an official transcript from the credit-awarding organization for NCCRS-reviewed professional training."

At least they're willing to receive Acclaim's.

How Do I Request a Transcript from Study.com? page at here Transcripts
says a button to request transcript should appear on my dashboard.

I put in a help desk report when I did not find it on my desktop. This is the reply I got.

"Thank you for reaching out about this. The button wasn't showing up because you've been on a Premium membership. I've just applied a temporary (1-week) free College Accelerator membership to your account, so you should now be able to see the Request Transcripts button and request your ACE/Credly/Acclaim badges.

I see that you just started a new month of Premium membership. I'm not sure whether your Premium membership will pick up again smoothly when this free week of College Accelerator is over, or not.

Don't worry; if necessary, we'll give you another courtesy free membership extension to make sure you get all the membership time you've paid for. "

WHATTT???

Relax. Box breathe. Go to my happy place. Think sparkly thoughts. Better now.

I just talked to a support agent at Sophia. They currently have no idea what's going on. The agent said that they're still "finalizing" things and they should know more in a couple of hours. So no idea if the process from Sophia -> Acclaim is supposed to be manual or automatic if you've already got Sophia courses.

It MAY be a good idea to contact the other less-obvious providers (TEEX, The Institutes, etc.) if you don't hear anything by the end of the week.
