ACCUPLACER '18 + Math Experience ,Advice
#1
Hey Guys , Happy Holidays!I'm currently going to retake the ACCUPLACER I did "OK" but not good my score was :

Arithmetic : 30 ( I needed a 34)
Elementary Algebra : 25 (The testing counselor and the school says this didn't matter but I would love to increase this score)

Has anyone taken the accuplacer, how did you study? How were your experiences? Are these scores considered bad. Also which study guides did you use , I also am getting pretty fed up with College board when it comes to their study materials.

This is addressed to the Accuplacer algebra test in general. There are students who score high enough to not have to take college algebra. If anyone reading this falls into that category, you should seriously consider taking the CLEP College Algebra exam. Accuplacer doesn't give you actual credit for what you know. The CLEP will. You should get credit for knowing that much.
63 CLEP Sociology
75 CLEP U.S. History II
63 CLEP College Algebra
70 CLEP Analyzing and Interpreting Literature
68 DSST Technical Writing
72 CLEP U.S. History I
77 CLEP College Mathematics
470 DSST Statistics
53 CLEP College Composition
73 CLEP Biology
54 CLEP Chemistry
77 CLEP Information Systems and Computer Applications

I wish it was like this but we take something called Mathematical Modeling and if I was to take CLEP I couldn't ( I think) get credit because its not with my major.
