Just entry IT level position which is doable with just high-school and certs but getting harder since everywhere else requires at least a bachelor's attached to it now.
Seeing tesu coursein general management though made me realized I really wanted to take those courses. It will be hard as well and the work is on me I will also learn something I have interest in.
I want a general office environment job tbh. Plus with the curriculum of general management it will help me with applying for different positions and etc. More available positions will open for me at my current work place. That's why I was thinking of general management and leaning more towards it. I'm still unsure of the cost between tesu or wgu. I just know with wgu it's 3k per term and I probably need longer than that. I'm still researching etc. Still unsure how will tesu catalog look like for 2017-2018
Well, then that makes sense, to get the BSBA (in CIS if you want).
You can easily take all of the courses that you need for both TESU and WGU, and then see how quickly you're going through everything to see if WGU would be a good option or not. If you're going slowly, then you'll probably want to go to TESU. If you're going quickly, then you may want to do WGU.

To the OP, I've been where you are and I remember struggling with the second bachelor's question, but please believe me when I say that it is a distraction. I urge you to stop thinking about the second bachelor's. Focus your time and attention exclusively on the first one.
Planning for the second bachelors right now is actually creating a road block, it is stopping you from forward progress. You have no idea what life will throw your way in a few years. Plus, once you get the bachelor's, you may have confidence for grad school... this is what happened to me. Grad school for accounting seemed like a pipe dream. As it turns out, I have decided against a second bachelor's and am going to grad school for an MS in accountancy instead. Super excited about that decision and the first bachelor's made it possible.
Who knows how it will all work out for you... but it appears that you have two things to consider:
1) Stop thinking about the second bachelor's. It is a waste of time right now. Focus exclusively on the first bachelor's until it is completed.
2) Focus on a bachelor's that is most compatible with your long term plans.
The advice from the ladies on the forum (including the one I am quoting) are amazingly helpful! This is what I highly recommend doing as well.
Finish the first Bachelors and then work on the Masters. I am still in that thought of mind of doing another Bachelors, but that will be afterwards.
Because the general education requires of the BALS/BSBA and the WGU BSIT, are virtually identical, you should just get those done first asap.
Complete the BSBA GM or the CIS if you prefer from TESU and when you finish, transfer X credits to WGU's BSIT. You get credit/certs from WGU.
Basically - Plan it, work it, finish it, End of story. Don't get caught up in the "i want this/that degree", it's get the first thing done and continue.
I highly recommend finishing the majority of the work from the Straighterline/Study.com combo as they are the most appealing for fast credit.

Yea atm it's sort of scary because every one's waiting for aleks to renew with ace. I'm also waiting to see the new catalog for tesu since they update it around July 1. I'm wondering what else will they change. Did they change anything from last year's to the current one
My Plan: Earn a MSML or a MBA at WGU!

They actually made their big changes last year in April instead of July. The catalog listed the new changes, but a lot of stuff went into effect before July 1 (no using TECEP's for residency, no transferring in the Business capstone, adding the Cornerstone, etc.).
I would not wait to enroll if you know you want to go to TESU, as there is nothing to be lost and everything to be gained by enrolling right away. There is no additional fee per term like EC or COSC have.

Hey dfrecore,
Ah I haven't enrolled because I'm still trying to figure out how this all works like from cost+what to do first. Some one also said its better to enroll next yr instead when I get all my General education credits. At the moment I'm just rushing to do ALEKS to get the credits before it expires at the end of the month. Also not sure about all the changes that happened overall.
Some questions that still remain. Though its nice that i know i want a BSBA in General Management.
- Will I end up having to take 1 course at TESU when going with a BSBA in General Management. How is that like? Is BSBA GM all test out?
- What do you do exactly in a Busniess capstone, + cornerstone now.
- Do I need to enroll and submit an application to have TESU evaluate my Cuny credits? Does it cost money?
- If I enroll now vs later on in Jan will there be a difference in fees? I'm scared of enrolling now bc i would have to take a TECEP?
- I feel like i will be going a bit slow. Will there be yearly fees to keep remaining active while i try to test out most of my credits
- For BSBA In GM i see that you need to take quantitative literacy when i checked the spreadsheet it shows you can take it at ALEK but i dont see that option
- When signing up for ALEK does it matter which market i pick?
sorry lol alot of these questions are probably really ridiculous

sorry lol alot of these questions are probably really ridiculous Different folks here have different views on enrolling, some say wait, others like me say do it early. Applying has a $75 fee. After that you have 6 months to enroll by registering for a course or TECEP. As an applicant you have full access to advising and can send in transcripts and have courses planned into your academic eval. Once enrolled you have a year to either graduate, or take another TECEP to extend your enrollment another year. The $114 for the TECEP is the only fee needed to maintain enrollment and that compares reasonably with other forms of credit. I view applying and enrolling as motivational steps and commitment to the process.
In your shoes, I would apply ASAP and send in all transcripts you have. It will take at least a month, maybe longer, for TESU to process those, so meanwhile, keep reading here and start on the credits you know you need. Once you get your academic eval, identify a TECEP that can fit into your degree, then go ahead and register for it. You'll have 12 weeks from that point to study, which is plenty of time to prep.
Let every step you take from this point forward increase your confidence and add to your resolve to finish. You can totally do this.

Coursera: Stanford Machine Learning (2019)

I could be mistaken and I am not trying to frighten you. However, I THINK I read ALEKS certification has already expired. ALEKS expired June 30 not the end of this month- July.
Jennifer, aka Cookderosa, seems to be our local expert on this. According to her post here (2nd post from the top) http://www.degreeforum.net/showthread.ph...570&page=2, ALEKS has already expired and anything done from this point forward, will not provide you with a math course from an accredited entity, UNLESS... ALEKS becomes certified again by ACE.
Hopefully, you chose a free trial of ALEKS. If you have not paid for a month, why would you risk it? What if they do not become certified again? What if it takes months? Are you going to pay $20 per month for an unknown number of months for something you may not be able to use for credit?
If you want to improve your math skills, there are several good FREE options. Khan Academy is awesome! Why not give it a try? Once you have become proficient, consider taking a CLEP or DSST or Saylor.org. As far as I know, Saylor only considers their proctored exams as your final grade for the course. Each course has an associated unproctored exam which you can use to gauge your knowledge. Then you can take the proctored exam with either uProctor or a certified librarian. My local library doesn't charge for proctoring, so theorically, every Saylor course is free to me. That's a lot of courses. Check them out. The courses are not timed but are self-paced, except for your proctored final exam. https://sayloracademy.zendesk.com/hc/en-...-Protocols

Im not an expert on ALEKS exactly, but I do follow it closely via a little birdy at ACE. It's currently approved through 7/31/2017.
Either way, your suggestions are on point. You can get the most bang for your buck with ALEKS if you learn on your own using a free resource, and then going in and knocking out 1-2-3 ALEKS courses via assessment. For now, that's still an option.

Thank you for correcting me, Jennifer. I do strive to provide accurate information in my posts and when I miss something, I welcome corrections. :-)
BearEDU, by all means, if you feel you can complete ALEKS in one month, go for it! Jennifer has tips in another post on how to do this. But as she said, use the free resources to learn as much as you can prior to using ALEKS. You must score >70% in order to receive credit. The reason people become frustrated with ALEKS and move to another source of credit for college math and statistics is because ALEKS makes you do exercises repeatedly. Sometimes people work the exercises for months and never get to 70%. The higher number of questions you answer correctly the first time, theoretically, the less work you should have to do to complete it.
