42 Credits In and Looking to Finish Fast!

Hope11 Wrote:Hey there,
I am trying to star the TEEX courses. So I looked up the cyber security courses...so I take the 3 courses in each of CYB101, CYB 102, and CYB 103, correct? THANKS!

Yes, it is three courses (2 cr each) but it's actually all 10 of the "courses" that make up those 3. That sounds confusing, but when you open up the course list you'll see them all there.

Thank you for the reminder Smile I fully understand that now.

Hey there! Thanks so much for that advice! I will definitely look into this. What are you getting your degree in? And why did you decide to go with Excelsior?

Thanks Jennifer. Would you happen to be able to send me the link to these TEEX courses? I am positive I looked at the correct courses just yesterday, but now I keep getting a response that says: "Page can not be found" when I try to get back to them...

I applied to the BS-Liberal Studies Program.
I'm still waiting on my unofficial evaluation. It's been 2 weeks already since they've received all my transcripts so hopefully not much longer. Overall, I'm pretty excited as I already have over 100 credits. I'm guessing I'll only have a few more classes before I'm done! I plan to share my eval once I get it.

No problem! Here is the main link to the classes https://teex.org/Pages/Program.aspx?catID=231

You'll see 4 classes listed, the first one is butt-in-seat, but the other 3 are online, those are the ones you'll do.

Each class opens a drop down menu to the "classes" that make up the overall class. IMO, the 101 is probably the easiest, so I'd suggest starting there. Once you pass all 3 of the classes that make up the 101 class, you can add it to your ACE transcript (ask if you need help with that) and you'll get 2 credits. Then, you can start on 201 then 301 the same way. Each is worth 2 credits when all the little classes in the bigger class are complete. You need 70% or better to pass each mini class. HTH

Awesome! Let me know what your plan is! Where did you get most of your credit from up to this point? And you signed up for 3 classes with Penn Foster...how long will it take you to complete these do you think? Or did you already...? (I see you wrote you did a final project)

Thanks so much Jennifer Smile Really appreciate the help. I got started on 101 today. Do you know anything about the Kaplan PLA course that is free or how to access it?

I don't, but I know other people here have done it- you should check the archives and if you don't get any hits, start a new thread. I think I remember several people doing it last year.
