So, you think I should go for it. What's a little suffering and frustration?

Just three away from the big 4000, Cookderosa. Don't know about you, but I'm waiting with bated breath for it. Don't know how it could top the other 3999. No pressure, though. No pressure.

(not that topping the other 3999 wouldn't totally rock!)

Well, here it is, my 4000th post!
I'd like to reveal in my 4000th post that my book is done and live on Amazon.com!
I've dedicated it to my fellow ICers (copy and paste at the end of this message).
I know it's pretty shameless to self-promote, but any of you who've known me for more than 5 minutes know that in my heart, I'm a teacher and my spirit is altruistic. This book isn't for me- I already know this stuff- it's for you and others who might find some help in what I had to say.
Despite my urge to write, I'll confess that I never like to read what I've written- for me, it feels like I'm looking at high school photos with acne and big hair. I see every imperfection and with every new look, new imperfections.
So, that said, I finished my draft earlier this year and went about the revision process shortly after. It took so much longer than I'd planned, and after a lot of editing and even the complete re-write of one chapter (and adding another) I was ready to submit. Formatting (ughhh) was terrible, and I rejected SEVENTEEN proofs. Even now, I can find a zillion things that drive me crazy- spacing wrong here or there, line indentations that are not how I want them, tables not properly aligned, and this or that not placed correctly, etc. Changing one thing results in changes elsewhere, and it's maddening. However, that said, I can live with the finished product. It's not perfect- and I still don't think I'm a very good writer- but I also felt like I had something to say, so I wrote it down and hope that other people find it useful. I've referenced IC in the work many times, more than 20, so I also hope that if anyone buys the book, that they find there way here- the best resource on the web.
I want to share my dedication which appears on the inside cover:
With enthusiasm to Sgloer, my bridge to things possible. Thanks for setting up Instantcert, the best testing resource on the web.
A special acknowledgement to my favorite classmates and IC family: 4dkids, a4tunatemom, Alissaroot, Alleycat, Barcotta, Basket Weaver, Blu2blu, Bmills072200, BrandeX, Bricabrac, Burbuja0512, Cframe, Chebasaz, CLEP101, Creationstory, dc67, Dcan, Farmerboy, Gary, Gcalvin, Geezer, Gus, HawkGuy, HorseManiac, Irnbru, Jadechow, jec959, Jonathan Whatley, kiwi lover, LatinTea, Levi, Librevore, Lindagrr, Maniac Craniac. OMG now I'm nervous. I didn't actually expect anyone to read it lol- I checked the kindle version today and don't love the way it turned out- some of the translations / formats have random "3" on pages out of nowhere? LOL But, that was all beyond my control, so I guess it'll do.
