The pressure. THE PRESSURE! (I just want to post enough to get rid of that Gorgon-like icon next to my name. It's butt ugly.)

Oh, and ditto Publius' post. (Hard for me to remember that it's not all about me.)

I've been here long enough to have seen Cook with ruffled feathers, but even those posts carried her special brand of wisdom and knowledge.
Jen, you have been an inspiration to so many, more I'm certain than you know! Keep up the great work! Best, Rebel

Ahhh yes, I fondly remember the specific feather-ruffling incident. Which was a huge error in my understanding of the situation ;p which actually is why I'm still here lol. Anyhoooo, it's funny because I am just a regular person who happens to have been here a while, so I've learned a few things. I do, however, believe in paying forward what you're given, so as I see it, I'm still "working off" my degree which I owe to this board. I also have to say, that even though it's sometimes "behind the scenes" the generosity of others here is astounding. I have had a few members, names will remain anonymous, who have shown me their appreciation *in real life* for simple help along their path. It's amazing to me, truly, but I think many of us (myself included) seriously - legitimately- feel in debt to this board for what it has meant to us personally and professionally. So, for those who feel that way, I would just ask you to stick around and accumulate 4000 posts and share what you learned; there are real people at the other end of these messages.

Writing of behind the scenes, if your many, many PMs that have helped so many of us had been counted, you would easily be over 10,000. Thanks for all of the on and off forum help.:hurray:

Ok Jen, I'm in trouble then. If you are at 4000 "working off" one degree, I have to thank this board for all 4 of my degrees! I will be here until I'm old and gray...ok older and grayer! I will admit I'm finally seeing the light at the end of the education tunnel as I'm down to my last 2 classes and will graduate for the last time in May. I will admit that I have been toying with the idea of a doctorate, but just can't wrap my head around another 3+ yrs of school. I'm just so burned out from doing so much the last few years. Jennifer, you have helped a lot of us and I know you will continue to pass along good advice well past 4000! Thanks from those of us that have been helped or inspired along the way!
