Hello All, do you know if it's possible to apply for a handful of 300/400 level courses in either COSC or Excelsior College without enrolling to be a student of their school?

And why would you want to do that? What are these courses used for? They don't offer much benefit over other online colleges/universities.
The only time I ever recommend people to take courses at COSC and/or Excelsior College is for their Capstone courses as it's a requirement. If you are NOT a degree seeker from them, then I highly recommend taking courses elsewhere for cheaper/easier/faster credit, at the 300/400 level. The only thing Excelsior has that you may want are the UEXCEL exams, they're not courses though and much harder than an SL/Study.com course. Your best bet is to "list your courses you need at the 300/400 level" and we can provide you recommendations. If you really need to take it there. You should at least sign up for their partnership pricing/scholarship pricing with Straighterline/Study.com

I need a total of 12SH credits from Applied Science and Technology discipline to fulfill my remaining AOS in
BSAST Technical Studies at TESU. These credits must be from 300/400 level courses. I can't afford to take them at TESU.

It's $499/credit - $1497 at TESU for 3 credits. COSC is at $377/credit = $1131 a course, and Excelsior is $510/credit - $1530 a course, my suggestion is taking them at APU. The fees at APUS is $270/credit, see here: http://www.apu.apus.edu/tuition-and-fina...ndance.htm Did TESU say specifically what AST courses would fit? Let me check their page again and your previous posts...

Also, if you really want to take courses from TESU, you should sign up with Study.com and take 2 courses there (any courses that are ACE-recommended) and then get the affiliate membership at TESU. That should bring your costs down from $1497/course to $1098/course. Still not cheap, I'd do something else personally, but cheaper than EC and COSC.

I have just sent the list of courses to TESU to see if they can be approved for 300/400 level courses.
I'll keep everyone posted on their reply. Thank you. |
