3 Graduate Courses in 10 Weeks?!?!
#1
Hello forum! It's been a while since I posted. But anyway, I'm currently working on my Master's in Accounting. The courses aren't too hard, just reading 2 chapters per week, 3 posts on the discussion board, and about 30 homework problems per week. I have 6 courses left and I gave my self until September to finish, but if I can finish in July the happier I will be. I would have to take 2 semesters of 3 courses each. I believe I can do it as sometimes I have downtime at work and I have nothing to do when I come home (no children, bf/hubby, pets, just ol lonesome me lol). Has anyone else taken 3 graduate courses in a 10 week period?

Well, it's normal at my school to take 5 courses in a 7 week period... although it is a full-time program and credit amounts vary. Which courses are you taking and how many credits are they? Are they easy courses like Tax Research or Ethics, or are they heavy ones like Advanced Accounting or Corporate Tax? I would say it's definitely doable, but if they were all hard courses, I'd advise against it.

Whoo 5 courses in a 7 week period? I'd die lol

This upcoming semester would be:
Seminar in Accounting Topics (basically an ethics course from the looks of the book)
Estate and Gift Taxation (this one should be easy for me)
Quantitative Analysis for Decision Making (this should be semi-easy as I'm good at mathematical concepts and it uses Mymathlab)

Next semester I would take:
Accounting Information Systems (computer whiz so should be pretty easy)
Advanced Topics in Financial Reporting (this would be the killer course)
Multinational Corporate Management (International business seems like) (Reviews of this course are not enjoyable)

Thanks for your help!

I think the first 3 courses will be time-consuming, but doable in 10 weeks. The second semester... you can see how you feel when you get there.

Good luck!

My grad school offers online courses but their on the same semester schedule as the brick and mortar classes, which is like 14 weeks. I think after taking so many 8 and 10 week courses in undergrad I can appreciate an extended course.
