It's definitely doable, depending on your background with the subjects. I took the two US history tests and government in just over a month. If you set your mind to it and study hard, you can absolutely get it done! Good luck and God bless!

I felt the REA book was very good for this exam. I also used the following web site to review US History. If you are just taking US History II then start with the sections after the Civil War.

Now that I think about this...I didn't really answer this question. I took over about a month to pass US History II (it was my first CLEP and I didn't want to take any chances), and exactly a week to pass American Government.
