I would like to use IC to study for the English Comp II DSST. Could anyone recommend the closest set to this?\
Also: Can I take DSST's at home? Trying to do this before work or after work might be a problem for me.

DSSTs are like CLEPs. Study, then make an appointment at a proctored testing center (usually a college or university) to take the test.

The old DF group would be ecstatic. The new DF group is wondering when the SL version is coming out.

Don't waste time by trying to save time. The only sure way to complete your degree is to knock out credits quickly and efficiently.
Don't let easiness bite you in the rear. Know your endgame (where you want to be) and plan backward from there. Your education is a means to an end.
Be honest professionally, socially and academically. There are people (especially little ones) who look up to you and they're going by your example.
Be proud. Whether you're an Engineer or Fast Food worker, there is honor and dignity in hard work.
Picking on people weaker than you only proves that you are a weak person.

Kinda of seems like the Technical Math class I took at the community college. It was a good bridge if you are above high school level but not quite ready for College Algebra.

Well, I think when I first started on here, there just weren't as many options for staying home and testing. Almost everyone tested out using CLEP/DSST's because that's all there was. AND, there were more CLEP 6cr courses, foreign language was worth 12cr, and there were more UL DSST's. A lot of that has changed. Then, add all the new cheaper options, and testing just isn't as good of a deal for a lot of people now.
But I'm not opposed to a good DSST/CLEP exam if it's a better option than what's out there!

I have to use vacation time to take DSST tests. The testing centers have inconvenient and limited hours. The more that can be done at home and when I have spare time the better. With online proctoring, maybe CLEP and DSST tests can one day be taken at home too.

Hours aren't convenient for me either. Add the 45 minute drive each way, parking fees, hiking halfway across a large campus (SDSU) in a not great neighborhood, $20 testing center fee per exam - it's not exactly a great deal for me.
And, they won't let 2 people schedule exams at the same time (they only have 1 computer in a room of at least 100 that they allow for CLEP/DSST exams). So, when my kids are both in HS, I can't take them down together to take exams. Or take an exam myself when one of them takes one. So, I would get to sit around for 2+ hours waiting for one to finish. Umm...no thanks!

I also have a friend who needs both, and is a good test-taker, but isn't a great typist, so this is a great option for that type of person as well.
More expensive to do both, but without having the essays is a great option for a lot of people.
THIS is very exciting
