I am taking the College Composition and Analyzing Literature CLEP on Thursday. I have the REA English Comp book and have scored 60- 70 on the Petersons Practice tests for Analyzing Literature. I passed the AP test in English Literature but my school does not take it for some reason. I am also using the IC flashcards for English. I plan on writing 5x5s for the essays. As far as citing my sources go I know to quote the sources. Do I have to write a full APA citation at the end of my second essay? Also do they give you your multiple choice English Comp scores back immediately. I know the essay takes about 3-4 weeks. Any advice on that or difficulty level of these two CLEPS would be extremely helpful! Thanks!

On the second Essay, just make sure you site properly in text. You don't need to do a Works cited. In my test however there were like 8-10 questions on the parts of the works cited and the format, so know them. Ie.. what does the "et al" stand for in this citation.. stuff like that. The multiple choice part was, for me, fairly easy and I got all F's in High school engrish. Just use your time well , there can be a bit of reading.
I took A & I today as well. also fairly easy and common sense. I scored a 66 with only taking a petersons as a guage. I scored a 67 on the first one, and it seemed about on par with the actual test.
Also, in one of the forums, there is a link to a page with mailing dates for results of the college comp test.
I wont say good luck because it is all about preparation.

You will not see a score for the multiple-choice section when you fully complete the exam. If you are testing tomorrow (and your test center transmits your results by the end of their testing day), score reports are scheduled to be mailed 8/23.
