You're right, I forgot about that part!
So, skip the "cheapest" one and go with the "easiest" scenario involving Study.com. You need those courses (or 1 at least) to get the discounts (both the residency waiver $300 discount and the capstone $399). Since you're paying $199 for a month of Study.com courses, and it includes 2 exams, you may as well just do everything there and make your life easier.
Plus, doesn't ACE now charge for new students to set up an account? It's like $20 or something. So you'd really only be saving $50 by taking the free ethics course instead of the Study.com course.

When you apply be sure to do so as a Study.com affiliate. I still think the $20 investment for the ACE transcript is money well spent - Long Live Study.com, but I want my permanent record.

Actually, I think it's changed. You now pay $20 to set up a new ACE account, and then your first transcript is free.

It has not changed, unless it was in the last 3 months or so. I paid my $20 on sending the transcript to TESU

I "set it up" for free but when I sent my first transcript, I paid the $20 fee to "actually set up" my account and they sent my transcript for free. After that, they charge $15 per transcript.

I joined ACE on September 6th and it was completly free. However, I only put the free courses on transcript (ethics, and two Sophia course) and I haven't sent it to any schools yet.

I didn't pay the $20 fee to "establish" my record until I sent my first transcript. For several months I added courses to my "not established" ACE account for free. I hope that clarifies.
