That's cool, and it's interesting that ABA approved this particular school for this milestone considering that they rank #144 out of 200 laws schools when it comes to Bar passage rate.

It’s going to be super competitive to get in I can only assume being that they are the first and only fully online law school program.

They're only accepting 25 students per cohort as well. No idea how they'll be spacing out cohorts, though.

Exciting none the less. I hope it's successful and ABA feels comfortable approving additional future programs.

Is not RA accredited and you can only sit for California BAR if I understand it correctly. You can work only in California without problem as it recognized for the Cali BAR but in other states can be tricky, they disclose it at: https://nwculaw.edu/school-information/t...her-states . Please check it.

The Ivy Leagues teach California and Delaware Bar. He'd be fine being a Californian citizen that wants to only practice in California. It's one of the largest law markets in the world. California is one of the best states to be a lawyer in regardless. https://smartasset.com/mortgage/best-sta...awyer-2019

What if he moves? Can he just sit for the bar in the new state?

It depends. Most states require graduates of unaccredited law schools to have three to five years of experience in another state.

even with the experience, *almost* all states require an ABA accredited on top of that experience. I don't recall the exact number, but I believe it is less than 5 that will accept one of the California unaccredited schools with the experience (or other pre-reqs) met.
