Joel Wrote:I just walked out of the testing office after having completed four exams. I completed three exams last Wednesday, two exams the Wednesday before, and one more the week before that. Plus, I took nearly all of these tests cold. I took one or two of the practice tests for a few of the exams, but other than that, no studying.
I didn't intend this post to sound like bragging, so I apologize if it does. Here's what I have taken so far:
Human Growth & Development (CLEP) 61/50
Information Systems & Computer Applications (CLEP) 60/50
American Government (CLEP) 50/50 (close call!)
Introductory Sociology (CLEP) 60/50
Introduction to Computing (DSST) 432/400
Principles of Supervision (DSST) 58/46
Personal Finance (DSST) 422/400
Here's to Your Health (DSST) 433/400
Introduction to Law Enforcement (DSST) 59/45
Criminal Justice (DSST) 409/400 (another close call)
Next week I'm planning to take Organizational Behavior, Human Resource Management and General Anthropology.
Are the questions on the here's to your health exam the same as the ones on the instant cert website, I'm taking this exam next week and I don't want to waste time studying if these questions are not on the real exam

I'm sorry that I can't help you out on this one. I didn't do any studying for the HYTH exam so I don't know how the flashcards compare to the actual exam. I don't recall it being an overly difficult exam though, so I'm sure you'll do great!

The IC flashcards are great for this one. Just go through flascards a few times, and you should have a good score

I haven't kept my thread updated lately, so here goes:
Took ECE Cultural Diversity at the end of March and got a C
Had to take all of April and the first 3 weeks of May off from testing because both my wife I had had surgery.
Took ECE Ethics and ECE Organizational Behavior during the last week of May and got a B and a C.
Took ECE Gerontology and ECE Psych of A&A the first week of June. Got a C on Gerontology and haven't gotten my A&A score back yet.
Assuming I passed A&A, I have 3 UL credits left and I'll be done. Planning to take ECE Social Psych tomorrow.
I really shouldn't have taken all these tests cold...the C's have really killed my GPA.

If a Test Center has one set time that they do tests can you do 2 on the same day? Just wondering because the test center that I would call is closed right now.

I would guess all test centers are different, but my test center is open for CLEP/DSST from 8-12 on Wed. When I asked about taking multiple exams in one day, I was told I could take as many as I pleased, but the computers are shut off at 12, no questions asked and only a 5 minute warning given. I've taken as many as four CLEP/DSST in a sitting. They will only let me take one ECE/day though.

Test centers aren't as standardized as the tests! It all depends on when they're open and what resources they can/will dedicate to standardized testing for non-students.
"My" center blocks out a 2-hour test time for my DSST appointments (it would be 1.5 hours for CLEPs). This morning I asked about taking 2 DSSTs on Friday, and they reserved a 4-hour block for me. Alas, they won't combine the proctoring fee, so that's another $160 to Prometric and $60 to the community college this week on top of today's $80 + $30! (at $36.67/credit hour and 9 graded credits in a single week, it's still a bargain)
I suspect that a testing center with a single set time is not going to be flexible about taking more than one CLEP/DSST at a time.
