10 tests done in 4 days

That's not too bad a rate of progress, really.

Some folks get all wrapped up in the notion of "speed testing"-- to see how quickly they can knock out a whole academic program. While efficiency can be a big deal when you feel the pressure, folks need to remember there are other advantages to the testing programs as well-- e.g. lower costs, working within your schedule, not having to drive to a college, etc.

For most degree programs, you need 120 credits for a bachelor's. If you complete one class/exam per month at 3 credits each, you will finish in 40 months-- 8 months fewer than a full-time student. Of course, this assumes you do not take summer breaks, etc.

While wrapping up a degree in a short period is always nice, 40 months is certainly better than never (or years of delay instead). . . which I'm sure many folks could attest to.

Took and passed the Substance Abuse DSST exam today. By far the easiest of the three upper level exams I've taken. I did one run through of the IC cards only, though I have sat through quite a few substance abuse training classes in the military.

Passed with a 450.

Impressive. Some posters on the TESC site say the TECEP version of this test is tough.

Great rate of return on your tests, but I'm not that bright. Besides every time I take the exam I have to pay full price, retired and not in the military. Go for it, you deserve it. For me I'll take slow and steady.

Congratulations again.

Well said! Just go as fast or as patiently as you need to.

My testing center was closed last week, so I finally got around to Astronomy this morning a week later than planned.

I tried to study, but couldn't bring myself to get through the flashcards even once. I bought the sparkschart, but again, I couldn't motivate myself to study it. I just have NO interest in astronomy whatsoever.

Since I was pretty much taking the test cold, I felt very unsure of myself after the 87 question exam, especially since I finished in less than 30 minutes.

Ended up scoring a 52, which is a B at EC. Not a very good score, but I'm sure glad to be done with it.

I took the ECE HRM yesterday and was disappointed to find out that my testing center still uses the paper/pencil version. The test consisted of 130 questions and I believe I did fairly well on it, but only time will tell now.

I decided last night to take the DSST Ethics in America exam partly because it may now be considered upper level and partly because others have said that EC will accept both the DSST and ECE versions. 94 questions on the exam. I did absolutely no studying for this test and passed with a 447.

I just received a call from EC about the HRM exam I took. I got an A on it. The breakdown will be mailed out, so I don't know scores, but I'm ecstatic to have an A on this one.

Just finished the World Religions exam. Finished in 23 minutes with a 450.
This exam will only help me if EC decides to follow the new ACE recommendations.

I went through the flashcards once, IC really misses the mark on this test. The flashcards are nowhere near the actual questions. You need to go quite a bit deeper into each religion. This deserves to be UL in my opinion and shouldn't be called Intro.
