Question about class line up for Software Engineering degree
#1
Hello everyone,
I recently started at WGU and my First term is the following courses:

Quote:Current Courses
Natural Science Lab – C683
Technical Communication – D339
Data Management - Applications – D427
Front-End Web Development – D277
Natural Science and Tech Comms was a breeze and I am getting ready to start Front-End Web Development. However, I am terrified of Data Management - Applications (haven't registered for it yet} after all the stuff I have read from people who have taken it saying it is difficult. I guess my the real question is do I rip off the band aid and just go for it or should I talk to mentor and swap it for something else.
I am going to post the rest of my courses as well I am hoping someone who is majoring in the same degree can possibly help me with the best line up. My mentor has already told me she is not familiar with Software engineering she is more or less my personal cheerleader. Any advice is appreciated and thank you in advance

There's lots of discussion about these topics on the discord:

I didn't take them, but it seems like both D427 and D277 can be challenging without the right preparation strategy. D282 and D336 are both external exams that should be relatively easy, again, with the right study materials.

Thank you for the reply. I will check out that Discord link. I have started D277 and so far it seems very simple but I am just dealing with basic HTML at the moment I am sure it will become more difficult as I get further into the course. Luckily these are Performance based assesments and the task themselves seem interesting.
