I recently started studying for an MSc in International Relations at the University of East London through Unicaf.
I decided to create this thread to share my experience. I will update it as I continue my studies.

Scholarship of up to 90%.

I first learned about Unicaf last year when I was looking for affordable master's degree programs.

Unicaf is a Cyprus-based online education company that works with different universities. Most of its partner universities are in Africa, but there are also some interesting options in the UK, including University of East London, Liverpool John Moores University, and University of Suffolk. There is also an American option, the University of California, Riverside.

Graduates receive an official degree from the partner university. There is also an option to attend a graduation ceremony and receive the diploma in person.

Last year, I was interested in the MSc in Computing and Information Systems at Liverpool John Moores University. I was offered a scholarship that reduced the total tuition fee to just £1,850. I did not enroll at that time.

This year, after my disappointing experience with the MBA program at University of the People, I decided to look at Unicaf again. My experience with UoPeople was terrible. Poor student support, administrative problems, wasted time, and wasted money. I decided that I did not want to continue dealing with these problems.

My educational and professional background is mostly in IT. This time, I wanted to study something different. I decided to add a humanities-related degree to my technical background, mainly for personal development and to learn something new.

I chose MSc International Relations at the University of East London. I find this subject interesting. In the future, I may also consider an MBA or even an LLM.

Now, about the scholarship and tuition fees.

Unicaf scholarships are offered on a case-by-case basis. The amount depends on your application and individual circumstances.
After reviewing my application, I received an official offer letter and an 89% scholarship. My total tuition fee was approximately £2,250 for the entire master's program.
I think this is an excellent price for a degree from a British university, so I accepted the offer.

There are different payment options. You do not have to pay everything at once. It is possible to arrange a payment plan and spread the cost over the study period.
Payments are added to your student account. When you register for a module, its tuition fee is deducted from your balance. Different modules may have different prices.

The program is 100% online. Study materials are available through the LMS. There are written materials, videos, and assignments.
My program consists of six modules, each worth 30 UK credits. The total is 180 UK credits, equivalent to 90 ECTS or 45 US semester credits.

There are no exams. Assessment is based on written assignments.

The standard duration of the program is two years, but students have up to 48 months to complete it. You must complete at least two modules per year.

There is also an option to accelerate. Students can take up to 60 credits every three months.
This means that, I could complete my entire master's degree in just nine months by taking two modules every three months. I think this is a great option, especially if you have enough time to study.

Courses are available for registration every month, and some even every week. You do not have to wait for the beginning of a traditional semester.

The program also offers early exit qualifications. After completing two modules, you can receive a Postgraduate Certificate. After four modules, you can receive a Postgraduate Diploma.

At the moment, I have registered for the introductory course. It is mandatory but does not carry academic credits.
So far, I cannot say much about the quality of teaching, assignments, or academic support because I have only just started.
I will continue updating this thread as I progress through the program.

For anyone interested, I am leaving my Unicaf referral link here:

You can use it to apply for a scholarship. The exact scholarship amount depends on your application. If you enroll through my link, I will also receive a small referral reward that I can use toward my own tuition fees.

Many longtime users of this forum know that VESI is a provider of online classes intended for teachers as professional development. It stands for Virtual Education Software, Inc. VESI provides the courses and learning management system and partners with dozens of colleges/universities to actually award the credits.

https://www.virtualeduc.com/

PD credits for teachers are somewhat problematic. Despite being classified as "graduate" credits, they are often discounted as not real graduate credits because they are frequently prefixed as EDU or EDUC credits outside of specific subject areas and they mostly are not part of degree programs at the colleges/universities that transcript them.

There have been many ideas about how to make these credits useful and transfer them into degree programs.

A couple of years ago, I read through the partner universities lists with a fine-toothed comb and found a program via Trine University that probably set the high water mark for these credits. Note that this program no longer exists.

Basically, the Indiana branch of the AFT had an agreement with Trine in which teachers could take these VESI courses for a flat fee and then earn an actual graduate certificate with certain groupings of these courses. You can see this within Trine's archived 2025 catalog:

https://www.trine.edu/resources/registra...g2025a.pdf

The complicating factor is that a person seems to have had to have been a member of the Indiana AFT to do this. In any case, AFT Indiana has now shifted the transcripting to Gannon University and this graduate certificate program seems to have ended. Still, one could argue that taking these sets of courses could be considered equivalent to a graduate certificate if one is inclined to want to do this.

I wanted to provide some information on what it's been like as a student in the inaugural session of KU Jayhawk Flex HOPE program (Human and Organizational Performance Effectiveness). I was very excited to begin my masters here at this respected R1 school, and with tuition at $4,165 a semester, I figured maybe 2 full sessions and a summer session (half price), around $10,000 total doesn't seem bad. I enjoyed the program when I first started it in August. There are 30 competencies - "short classes" you work at your own pace - worth 1 credit each. One of my earlier competencies the final project was to plan a trip to Disney World for a family of 4. A lot of the reading materials and videos were interesting and could be applicable anywhere - if you go work at Dick's Sporting Goods, or a non-profit. It seemed surely this was a good degree to invest in for someone who wants to be able to work in a variety of fields in their lifetime. I liked the first instructor, she gave thoughtful feedback, and this program is a pass/fail basis, so if you don't do something right they kick it back to you to fix until it is right according to their standards. I had to do that more times than getting a "complete" on the first try, which is fine.
After doing work in 2-3 of the competencies, I wondered if it was actually a good fit for me because the program seemed very pro-organization and not so much emphasis was placed on listening to the actual employees of an organization, so I reached out to the school and told them I want to withdraw without penalty before the 9/7 deadline. They said wait! We have other classes you might like better! So instead of dropping I enrolled in different competencies. (This I regret now). The next set was with a different instructor. Projects required you to interview people at an organization to do research on their culture. But you can't do the one you work in, and you can't do one if you're unable to speak to people on all different levels, and apparently you can't do a company where you know people. This has proven to be quite a challenge being able to find an organization to use. In addition, it feels like the lines are redrawn and the goalposts moved. I know this is a new program and they need to iron out the kinks but for that project I mentioned, the instructor decided to add an extra caveat that wasn't there in the original module, that they need to approve of the interview questions too, and on another class assignment they decided it should be done a certain way (subject headings on paper) even though the other assignments were all done another way.
If you are able to work on this without having other obligations/ jobs, it could be useful, but I have found it to be frustrating. When I requested to withdraw shortly after the full refund date - since they convinced me to switch classes instead of drop - they wouldn't allow it even though there was nowhere for this first cohort to get any information from other people about what the program is like so it would have been nice to have some flexibility in their policy.

Master's in Entrepreneurship & Innovation at Saylor University
Absolutely insanely good value, at only $5/exam! (essentially making the degree "free") Saylor University is probably going to rise up the relevancy charts in the long run too, first Florida, next the world.

Am currently approaching soon halfway-ish in these four Masters qualifications from ENEB:

Master in AI for Business
Master in Big Data and Business Intelligence
MBA + Master in Logistics and Supply Chain Management (this is their double Masters offering, the first two are being done each as a single Masters degree)

My natural concern is that having four degrees all from ENEB on my LinkedIn and CV might look just a little "odd" to say the least.

How can I "spread around" the credits/qualifications I'm getting from ENEB at a minimal-ish cost?
Am thinking I might instead have them listed as something like this instead:

Master in AI from ABC
Master in Big Data from XYZ
MBA + Master in SCM from ENEB

As that would look 100% better!

I know that ENEB has arrangements with the University of Isabella and UniMarconi? But it's a bit opaque in understanding exactly the processes and costs involved in this.

Can any one of my Masters go to any one of Isabella or Marconi? Or do each only accept certain specific degrees from ENEB? (Edit: seems like Isabella at least can take any degree whatsoever from ENEB and convert it over: https://iseb.es/programas-formativos-uniseb/ ?)

Are there other universities I could use my credits/qualifications from ENEB that I'm not aware of?

Extra details if this happens to help:
My Location: Australia
My Age: late 40's
What kind of degree do I want?: Masters
Budget: am very flexible, but preferable as cheap as possible! (if it is over US$5K I won't even consider it for a second, hopefully it's just a few hundreds of dollars? But if I must, I'll go higher)
Dedicated time to study: very motivated, will work hard 24/7 if that is what it takes!

Timeline: sooner rather than later?

I would like to take one math course at a time at the graduate level, but I'm not sure how to go about this. I don't think I can do two courses at a time because for math, it would just be too much, especially online where I can't talk to the teacher in the classroom and who knows how often they will be available. And I have to work, of course.

The biggest issue is the cost. To take one course at a time is probably the most expensive way to do it.

I know that Emporia and Northwest Missouri State University are usually recommended here, but I wasn't sure if anything has changed. I don't want an education degree. The University of Texas Permian Basin also has a math program now at the graduate level.

Between all three, the cost isn't that different from what I saw.

Curious about what other people are doing.

Interesting curriculum. Like a hybrid between a Master in International Affairs and a Master in Disaster Management.

Credit hours: 30 credits
Cost: $19,500
Duration: Two years

Fordham has a good reputation in NYC, frequently known as the 3rd best school next to Columbia and NYU. Because of their location, they probably have good links with the UN and other humanitarian and international organizations. Also, a certain US President studied at Fordham.

This cost is suprisingly low for a NYC university so this would be considered a good deal for New Yorkers.

Hi everyone,

I recently received an admissions email about a new fully online Master of Science in Quantum Computing program starting in Fall 2026, and I thought it might be of interest to those here looking for flexible, affordable STEM grad programs.

The program is offered by Fei Tian College Middletown (which holds regional accreditation from NECHE). Here is a quick rundown of the details they shared:

Format: 100% online.

Pacing: Geared toward working professionals. You can take just 1–2 courses per semester.

Curriculum & Faculty: Covers quantum theory, algorithms, hardware, and software. The faculty roster is very impressive for a new program, featuring professors with PhDs from top institutions (like Princeton and Rutgers) and deep real-world R&D experience (including a former Bell Labs senior scientist).

No Thesis: It culminates in a hands-on capstone project instead of a traditional thesis (which is always a plus for working adults!).

Admissions: Designed for students/professionals who already hold a bachelor's degree in a STEM field.

Tuition & Funding: This is the best part—they are offering an Inaugural Scholarship for the first cohort, which brings the full Master's program tuition to a flat $20,000.

The application deadline for their inaugural cohort is September 1, 2026.
If anyone is looking to pivot into deep tech or upskill in the quantum space without leaving their current job and without breaking the bank, this looks like a solid option.
Universities will need specific approvals to convert each program to a one-year format.
