PSA: Send transcripts early and check their receipt status promptly

If any of your past schools or course providers do snail mail transcripts only...

Due to USPS changes, I suggest expecting transcripts to take 2 or 3 times as long to arrive.

I would also stay on top of checking if they arrived, so that you can reorder quickly if they don't. I think there could be more missing or severely delayed mail.

In addition, I requested two transcripts to TESU by mail. Neither arrived after 3 weeks so I reordered them (and at least one of those schools is very responsive and prompt). More than 3 additional weeks have passed since I reordered, and one of the resent transcripts is still not showing up as received.

(I have also had 3 issues with USPS since then that weren't related to transcripts.)

Have you contacted the schools to make sure the transcripts were mailed and if so when? Most transcripts are sent electronically nowadays. One of my old schools still mails them and it takes them about 3 week to even mail the piece of paper. They're so slow it's ridiculous.

Yes, one of the schools was quick twice in the past and the other school was reliable as well.
