So first, this just matches the COSC policy (which also sucks but it is what it is).
For those already enrolled and wanting to go/stay OVER 45/90cr of alternative credit, you have until March 1 to submit everything. I would aim for Feb 15. That means you need to PLAN your degrees, and make sure that you do your UL via alternative credit, and your GE's/Free Electives via RA if you need more RA credit.
You can still do TECEP & UExcel exams, those are RA. So are CSU-Global SSA's, Strayer Challenge Exams, etc.
Then, there's TEL via one of the colleges they partner with, Outlier, EA/ASU, etc. More expensive than you probably want to pay, but still not outrageous.
You do NOT have to do more than 6cr with TESU (meaning they are STILL one of the Big 3). That part hasn't changed.

Once you get all you can from Sophia.org and the SOS-110, you need at least 100 credits transferred in to work on your Capstone. By following the email's recommendations, I would recommend doing the March capstone as that is the last term they will allow you to transfer more credits in...
I don't think crotique needs to do the Capstone that soon? He or she is already enrolled because SOS-110 and probably doesn't want to rush to get 100 credits for the March enrollment. And then start the Capstone right away.

As I understand it, as long as you have your ACE credits transferred by March, you're good.
Taking the last lot of TESU courses (SOS110 and the Capstone) doesn't need to happen by March, you could wait until April, May or June if you wanted.
The important thing is to get your ACE/CLEP/NCCRS/etc credits completed and transferred in ASAP. Worry about RA courses later.

But this should be a wake up call to procrastinators. Don't quit (or take breaks) and finish as fast as you can. Agreed. Fees may go up in July. Could be additional restrictions within 18 months.

This is what I meant by people who are already enrolled getting a break (small as it might be), you have 2 extra months. Anyone who hasn't already applied/enrolled is out of luck.
True. Another reminder to always get enrolled at TESU as soon as you can. COSC I understanding wanting to wait. But with TESU, dithering is never rewarded.

Well this sucks was planning to start a TESU degree next year. I can only hope RA credits become cheaper over the following years.

Having calmed down SLIGHTLY (I am still super miffed), I have realized that this doesn't personally affect me as much as I initially thought it did. I have already transferred in 19 RA credits from ASU. I had also been considering taking 16 credits at TESU anyway, to get rid of the residency waiver. Even if I decide not to do that, I can still take just a couple of TECEPs or TEL Learning courses and be good. That brings me up past the 24-credit minimum for this nonsense, so I can slow down (slightly) and take a bit of a break. I am still annoyed but at least I don't have to completely kill myself trying to get my remaining credits in before the deadline.
In progress:
TESU - BA Computer Science; BSBA CIS; ASNSM Math & CS; ASBA
Completed:
Pierpont - AAS BOG
Sophia (so many), The Institutes (old), Study.com (5 courses)
ASU: Human Origins, Astronomy, Intro Health & Wellness, Western Civilization, Computer Appls & Info Technology, Intro Programming
Strayer: CIS175, CIS111, WRK100, MAT210

TEL is $67/credit, which isn't as great as SDC's $30/credit, but still miles better than what you'd be looking at for many universities at $300/credit. The average per credit cost at TESU is going to be far superior to what most other people pay for their degrees. Just to keep it in perspective.
