Mathematics GRE, difficult?

Don't forget that you'd be primarily competing against people trying to get into a good graduate program in math, and would need to get at least to the 40th percentile. Given the massive breath of material on the test, I think you'd be advised to take courses. You'll need several more courses(maybe 5 more) to complete the concentration even if you are able to test above the 40th percentile. Math is something that is best acquired through practice of the sort that math courses require you to do.
