as a white person living in asia, i can't help but comment. There was a funny joke on Chappelle's Show, if you guys remember, way back.
"the most racist people in the world are asians, when they talk about OTHER asians!"
I never understood that quote so well until I came here. A lot of us in western countries think of asia as one big place, but in fact it's a ridiculously diverse place full of people who think/live differently and (just like in our home countries) are pretty damn racist towards each other.
The message I'm trying to give is that a LOT of people are racist, quite often the ones you don't expect. You often just gotta disregard it, and understand that their views are likely the result of ignorance or a personal insecurity.
