Free phone service SipGate+Google voice

Google voice requires an existing phone to function in most cases, without a functional phone a VOIP solution like sipgate can be manipulated to fill in the gaps, or perhaps you know something I don't?

Apparently, yes, I do know something that you don't.

The interface is a bit strange, but you can call through Google voice from your gmail page while the rest of the functions (texting, browsing your history, organizing contacts, listening to voicemails) are on the google voice page. A strange set up, but it all works just fine.
