It sounds like a nice thing to do but you have to realize that this country has the most liberal immigration policy in the world already.
Nations need to regulate immigration tightly to ensure that natural resources, govt programs etc aren't used up and that our security is ensured.

There are many ways to enter the country legally and I think people should use these instead of the illegal ways.

It shows here and in various statistics just how many immigrants the US has. I think other countries could learn a lot from our liberal immigration policies. Like Mexico which has horrible conditions of immigration such as racial quotas.
