On the other hand, using that excuse to pretend to have a degree (just on the resume or from a "life experience" diploma mill) is inexcusable. I have an acquantence who for $800 magically came up with a B.S. and and MBA. He's gotten a number of significant job offers because of it. Eventually however, it's going to burn him. Yes, I agree that most of the degree hoops are just so much bs, however I'd MUCH rather put in the legitimate work than spend the rest of my life wondering when it's going to fall apart!
