The UExcel College Writing test is similar to the ECE's writing portion (no multiple choice,) uses the same grading software that the ECE uses (The test was developed by the same people IIRC), and has the same MyAccess prep. It's also only 3 credits and only costs $85, substantially cheaper than the ECE.

You may get some info that you can use out of the thread that I did from when I took the UExcel. WeAintGotNoBadges talks about his experience with the MyAccess software around page 2 or 3 I think.
