I have limited web time available, but I thought this might be of value to you. Taken from the TESC forum. Remember it is free to take FEMA credits to TESC.
Everyone: The following information should be noted regarding FEMA courses.
FEMA courses that have been recommended for credit by ACE (American Council on Education) are applied only to free electives in the respective degree program. If ACE recommends 1, 2, 3 etc. credits for a particular FEMA course, then that is the number of credits that can be applied toward your TESC degree program. Keep in mind that the list that I previously posted and the one that is available by contacting an academic advisor is not an exhaustive list. ACE continuously recommends credit for courses. Before you take a FEMA course, I strongly recommend that you either select from the list of FEMA courses that I originally posted or you check with ACE to make sure that the FEMA course(s) that you want to take has been recommended for credit.
Exception: Those specific FEMA courses that have been recommended for credit by ACE that have been classified as appropriate for the Fire Protection and Emergency Disaster Management specializations. Students in either of these specializations should schedule an appointment with the respective BST or BSHS academic advisor to confirm which specific FEMA courses are appropriate for their particular specialization.
If anyone has a very specific question about this, I would urge you to make an appointment with an advisor

What I used to do is take 2-3 guided study courses per semester. (I would take 3 easier courses or 2 harder courses). Then I would overlap semesters with a CLEP, TECEP, PLA's or Epack course. I did that steadily for about 15 months or so and the credits poured in.
I took 25 FEMA credits (Im an Emergency Management Major) into TESC with me so that helped too.
Good luck with your studies.
Brian
