Hey folks!
I haven't been on here in a hundred years or so, but I thought I'd post a quick update. I've enrolled with American Public University (sister college of American Military University) for a master's degree in military history. I'm very excited! Wish me luck!
If any of you are thinking about that school, so far I have been very impressed. Granted, I haven't actually started classes yet (starting February 1st) but the enrollment process and communication from APUS has gone so smoothly! Their communication is fantastic--an enormous contrast to TESC.
One of the things I really like is their "live chat" option on their website. If you have a question about ANYTHING, you can talk to someone right then and get immediate answers. I've been having trouble with my e-mail and one of the "Welcome, here's the next steps" e-mails from APUS didn't arrive properly in my inbox. I hopped on the live chat and someone held my hand and guided me step by step as I enrolled in the class I wanted.
Immediately upon enrolling, one of the staff members sent me a personal e-mail welcoming me, explaining how certain things work, letting me know I could contact them if I had questions.
I've had other questions here and there along the way and the staff has been very prompt and very helpful.
The other thing I like about it is that there is no yearly tuition. You just pay a flat rate for each class. This really takes the pressure off to cram as many classes as possible into each year to save on yearly tuition.
Anyway, I might not be so glowing after I actually start classes
