As long as you know most of the major painters and architects you should be fine. I thought the real test was somewhat easier than the practice tests, but I wouldn't take it until you score close to 50% on a practice test. Do you have the CLEP Official Guide? Those tests tend to be good indicators of how you'll score - better than Peterson's at least.
