Hi Linda!

The only thing I recognize from my family members is "NAS Nor.,Va.", which means Naval Air Station Norfolk, Virginia.

I believe NTS Sampson was Naval Training Station, Sampson in Geneva, NY. Sampson NTS, Geneva, NY 1942-1946 :: The Patriot Files :: Dedicated to the preservation of military history It seems like he was transferred to LST-211, which was a tank landing ship. They were used for amphibious operations to land tanks/equip. They were assigned to a convoy that entered theatre of operations in Bizerte/Oran.LST-211 He probably was reassigned to USS Fort Mandan (LSD21) uss fort mandan lsd-21
NAS is Naval Air Station, Norfolk. ATB Camp Bradford is Amphibious Training Base in Virginia. PSC Lido Beach was Personnel Separation Center, Lido Beach, LI, NY, probably where he was discharged.
American Theater Medal = American Campaign Medal
EAME Medal = European/African/Middle Eastern Campaign Medal
Victory Medal = World War II Victory Medal
The Theater Medal 1 star was in conjunction w/the American Theater Medal. Hope this helps some.
