National Emergency Training Center (NFA)
(NFA) is one of two schools at the National Emergency Training Center (NETC), a
training facility that offers training opportunities in all-hazards leadership, command, prevention, and emergency
response. The NFA is co-located at NETC with the Emergency Management Institute (EMI). Situated on a 107-acre
campus in Emmitsburg, MD, the two institutions maintain nineteen fully-equipped classrooms and can
accommodate up to 1,000 students with housing for more than 540.
The National Fire Academy, in partnership with State and metropolitan fire service organizations, offers on- and
off-campus courses, including web delivery through NFA Online.
