I'm a 48 year old "geezer" that's been in manufacturing for the last 23 years and I got laid off from my production supervisor job in February this year. I went through a job search early last year and it was tough finding work. It's much harder this time around.
I've always wanted to go to school and get a degree but things just kept coming up, seems I always had to work to support myself and my family. After getting laid off this time and constantly seeing "4 year degree required" in my job search I decided to do something about it. I'm starting from scratch but as they say "A journey of 1000 miles begins with a single step".
