Does it have to be biological science, or is the requirement a natural science? If the latter, chemistry would qualify. CLEP has exams for both biology and chemistry, but they're reported to be extra tough. If the Board accepts passing test scores in lieu of actual college credits, would they accept the CLEP Natural Sciences? If not, the best alternative I could come up with is Ohio University's course credit by examination - they have a CCE option for their "biology for non-science majors" class (BIOS 103).
For physical sciences, physics and geology could be rough. I looked at the sample questions for DSST Astronomy, and it looks relatively easy.
