This summer, I also retired from the Air Force after 20 years. I would have to second staying with it - or for some, deciding early after one term to move on. Once you are close to halfway, probably not bad to stick it out and get that pension and benefits then starting somewhere else.

And for Pete's sake, relevant to these forums - use those education benefits! I spent my last three months of terminal leave taking all the *free* CLEP/DANTES and ECEs I could because I put it off my whole career. I ended up taking and passing around 20 tests (thank you, IC!) but should have done it when I was younger...
