TESC registration..Sooner or later?
#11
jbinmontana Wrote:Thanks for the replies everyone!!! I'm really glad I found this site. I'm going to wait until near the end to enroll.

I started rounding up my transcripts today so I can start planning a course of action. I guess I'll hold off on the straighterliner courses until I'm really clear on if TESC will except the courses.

Thanks again!!!!

Welcome to the board! I wouldn't roll the dice with Straighterline, you can instead do ALEKS -- Assessment and Learning, K-12, Higher Education, Automated Tutor, Math from home. You simply pay $20 per month. (you can probably find a code for your first month free, some codes allow for 2 months free). The $20 is for unlimited use, so if you can finish in a month, you'll get 3 algebra credits for $20! (or free if you found a code) There is an extensive thread here on ALEKS, and TESC does for sure accept the credit.

I did my BA in social science, so let me know if I can help. As you know, you must pay the yearly fee, so waiting is usually what the informed people here do Big Grin I planned into my degree 1 year of coursework, so I did CLEPs a tiny bit and FEMA before I enrolled and then did my remaining CLEPs simultaneously with my coursework. Enjoy doing your FEMA classes this weekend, those 27 credits are worth a savings of $5400.

It looks to me like you could be finished with your "first year" of college by Christmas!
