This thread deserves a revival!
States are increasingly certifying or licensing behavioral health paraprofessionals with training typically less than a bachelor's degree, to supplement the workforce in more established master's and doctoral level roles. A variety of titles can be categorized into peer support workers, community health workers, and behavioral health technicians and aides.
