Competency-Based MBA Programs without proctored tests

Hello Klone,

I see that you ended up getting an MBA from Eastern. Why did you select Eastern over UMPI's MAOL? I am in the process of completing my BAS at UMPI now and exploring graduate options. I am torn because I would like to get an MBA vs a MAOL for its recognition but I am already comfortable with UMPI's platform. Do you have any advise or information to how you liked Eastern vs UMPI?

Depending on one's career, the MBA is the gold standard.

That is why I am so torn. I really love the way that UMPI’s classes are set up, however I think an MBA would serve me better in the long run. I may just pursue the MAOL and then follow through with an MBA later on. In my current position, they are about equal for helping me with opportunities. I could complete the UMPI MAOL in a shorter amount of time.

South College has an CBE Executive MBA with a similiar setup as UMPI. No exams, but each term is 6 months and costs 6k. Only WGU probably has the best CBE setup for MBA but htere are two exam courses in the MBA and the cost is 5k per six month term.
