Once again, why is LevelUp a moderator? This does not look good for a higher education forum. This forum is starting to sound like InfoWars which, by the way, discussed 5 months ago how assassinating Trump would be beneficial to them because they'll get a better candidate. This country is losing it.

We all need to message the website owner to get LevelUp removed as a moderator. He's removed your comments for trolling, but has allowed idiotic, dangerous conspiracy theories to be posted. He cannot operate as an impartial moderator.

The North mainly fought the war to keep the union together. The South shot first and was paranoid about the possibility that Lincoln would abolish slavery. In 2024, we still have bigots who believe that states' rights are more important than human and constitutional rights for individuals.
You are going around calling everyone a bigot who doesn't agree with your views.
Political talk is a small fraction of what is discussed here on DF. This forum is never going to be a left-wing or right-wing forum because it is not its core focus, and few people bother to discuss it.
If you don't want to talk about politics, why don't you just ignore it? You're participating in this thread and the DegreeInfo thread as well?
You're saying that prioritizing states' rights over Black people's right to not be enslaved is not bigotry? I think you're in the minority in the year of 2024.
Conspiracy theories are not political talk. Maybe I should make a separate thread on the cognitive scores of people who tend to believe a bunch of conspiracy theories.
You are right that conspiracy theories tend to get out of control.
Some conspiracy theories are vague, may contain an ounce of truth that promoters use to justify their validity, and are hard to research and fact-check.
Some are just outright crazy, such as the ones from July 13th, for example. Some say it was staged. Some were posting photos or making claims about who the shooter was.
Andrew Tate called it a "coup" in a tweet and pretty much said the government found this person, then instructed that person to kill Trump, which got 10 million+ views. This is an irresponsible thing to say, at the very least.
Elon Musk pointed out in a Twitter talk that when someone used the term "globalist," it was vague and didn't have much meaning.
These types of ambiguous terms can lead to problems.
