Best option degree, no Financial aid, slim funds
#5
robo Wrote:I am going to Excelsior. I transferred in 57 credits and I will be taking 6 ECE's for upper level credit, $235 each. My total cost for enrollment, graduation, cleps, ece's and dantes will be about $4,150. Tesc's enrollment is more expensive than EC but they do allow you transfer fema credits for free and they also allow 200 courses as Upper Level which may save you some money if you are in need of upper level credit. I would apply to both schools and try to figure out how much it will cost to get your degree. It was a lot cheaper for me to go to EC, they also give letter grades for ECE's and a lot of the dantes tests. So it just depends on the person. If you do the search function and type in cost comparison you will see the difference between tesc and ec.

I think the general rule of thumb is that if you have 30%-60% of your credits already completed by transfer credit before applying, then Excelsior is usually going to be the cheapest. If you are starting almost completely from scratch, then TESC is the cheaper option.
