This eclipse is definitely a good excuse to close work and schools and have a party. It is interesting because it will affect many major cities.
Niagara Falls and Buffalo, New York, seem like the best places to be if you are close to the east coast.
Down south, Dallas or Austin, Texas, would be the place to be.

If you get totality, it's a strange feeling when things go from day to night. The bugs will start chirping as if it is night-time.
