1. That does not mean the school "blew up" as you said before, but that the entire status quo of the Spanish university system has changed and they no longer are University-issued Master's Degrees in some subject exactly like they were before.
2. The change still means they are University-issued Master's degrees, but now their title is just as confusing as the title of the Harvard Extension School programs (Master of Extension Studies in XYZ when "Extension Studies" is not a field, just like this is a Master of Continuing Education in XYZ when "Continuing Education" is not a field of study either). Unlike HES, the accreditation behind these degrees is a fundamentally different system to people not in a Latinesque culture, so this just confounds things even more.
3. The change may render these substantially less useful moving forward, but that is not a shock.
4. Checking my already-issued diplomas according to Isabel's document verification system, I still am in possession of the Master's Degrees in various fields, they haven't retroactively changed my MBA to a MFP in Business.
If someone really wants a cheap Master's degree in this same format, they should look at Latin America rather than Spain, since Spain is radically changing the game.
