Somewhat unrelated, I looked at the eval for an AS in math and it says I need a quantitative literacy class and suggests MAT-121. I have MAT-121 but they put it in an elective spot. Will discrete math fill the quantitative literacy requirement?
Also, how many associate degrees can I get? I found I have all the credits except the capstone for the AAS Health Studies and (like bj mentioned) the AAS Environmental, Safety, and Security Technologies. I'm also only one extra class (and the capstone) away from an AA in Human Services. I certainly don't need 4 associate degrees, I like free stuff.
For the ASNSM Math, literally any math will fill the quantitative literacy and elective slots. Quantitative Literacy will generally be the lowest math you've taken, but the AOS will fill up first. If you take (or transfer in) MAT-1050, that will wind up in Quantitative Literacy for the ASNSM Math and everything else will wind up in the AOS.
As for which Associates to get, I would go with whatever will look best on a resume. IMO, this means skipping the AA in Human Services. Do the ASNSM Math (and, if desired, the ASNSM Computer Science). Plus the combined AAS Health Services and AAS Environmental, Safety, and Security Technologies. IMO, this will give you the most bang for your buck.
Out of curiosity, did you complete the AAS/AA requirements with alt credits or prior RA credit? I'm assuming the latter, but would be interested if it's the former.
Sorry, didn't mean to ghost! My AAS/AA requirements are filled by 60%ish RA credit.
I couldn't find the ASNSM in the academic evaluation. Is this expected?
Thanks for all your help!
