It's great to use sources and other resources you can find online to get ideas and do your research, in essence, you should not copy/paste or use AI to do your homework. Using the Academic Word List is a good book option to see what words there are that can be used, you can get that from a dictionary or thesaurus (online versions). Basically, you use AI and these resources for grammar, spell check, word count, etc... At the end of the day, you're the one writing the extended essay contents and correcting them first if it has any errors, I would only use these extra resources as a backup to cleaning up/finalizing your work.

Edit to add: And to let you know, Sophia.org is Open Book for their quizzes and exams (milestones, etc), they have touchstones for you to do written assignments.
