Why is DegreeForum so SLOW lately?

There are a bunch of things it could be, including a DOS attack on one or more of the servers, but if this is going on for days, that's pretty bad that there isn't anyone paying serious attention to this.

I was wondering this morning if it might be a DDOS attack. The sporadic nature of the slowness would seem to point in that direction. I wonder if we angered a spammer with a botnet by deleting their scam posts.

Hopefully, it's something easier to resolve. Like a failing drive or something in the physical server.
