A lot of mainly online colleges have low graduation rates because a lot of people can't handle going to school online. They take a few classes, then drop out.
When people drop out, it isn't because they fail. It is usually because they stopped turning in assignments for whatever reason. People sometimes drop out of WGU because they don't transfer in enough credits, then are shocked at the amount of work they have to do.
