Course Rollover

- What is the average number of courses people take in an 8 week session?

- What happens if I don’t complete a course within the 8 week session?

According to UMPI, the average number of courses completed in a session is 3-4. There are many people on here who have completed more than 4 courses in a session.

If you are registered for a course and do not withdrawal prior to the withdrawal date and do not complete the coursework, you will receive an F for the course. Courses do not rollover. You will be able to retake the course, but the F will remain on your transcripts. Once you repeat the course and finish it, the new grade will be included in your GPA and not the F. You can't add courses past 10 days left in the session without special permission. I haven't seen anyone add a course after that last 10 days.
