The Pell Grant max is $7395, so they could increase the price to $1850 and still be ok.  That's still 1/2 the price of WGU.

When looking at CBE programs, to compare the cost you need to look at the price per week (since every program is a different length, you have to compare apples to apples).  WGU is about $150/week, while UMPI is about $187/week.

Beyond that, though you need to look at how long it takes to reach completion.

If you can complete UMPI in 1-2 sessions it is gonna cost less than one term at WGU. 

And it isn't unrealistic to finish in 1-2 sessions.

Exactly, it all depends on how the student values their energy, money, time and how spread out or mix/matched they can get...
