Yup, subsequent degrees can be a bit of a headache, but as I pointed in the linked thread on the sister board, an option is concurrent degrees if they get permission to do so. Since OP has the time to investigate this further, they should, and report back with their findings. I'm really interested to see what the result would be...
Hmm, I think they'll get an overall favorable reply from Excelsior in regards to this, since they mentioned COCS and Excelsior were both happy in admitting them... having said that, I don't know if OP mentioned anything about concurrent or subsequent degree options, it seems their inquiry as only in regards to admissions...
