Fastest way to earn a degree by earning/transfer credit

If you want an MBA from a Top 10 school, you're better off spending a lot of money to go to a much more prestigious school for your bachelor's degree.  So budget at least $50k for a bachelor's and another $75k for an MBA.

Or, budget $5k for a UMPI business degree, and then $20k for a local (to you) MBA program.

Even better, budget $5k for a UMPI business degree, get a job, and see if you actually need an MBA right away.

Honestly MBA is an afterthought at the moment i just need to get my bachelor’s to get a good job and then can go for local MBA as you said. My confusion is exam vs papers based bachelors which is easier UMPI VS TESU or any other school for bachelor I have seen ashkir’s degree plans for BABA seems pretty impressive relatively easier. What are your thoughts only thing about TESU is that its BSBA are ACBSP accredited if that even matters. Im a complete noob starting from scratch did high school ten years so need as much guidance as possible to make a informed decision.

UMPI and TESU are both state schools, so no big difference there.  TESU has ACBSP, which generally doesn't matter much (virtually no employer is going to ask for this).  But it MIGHT make a difference when you go to get your MBA some day.  Then again, it might not.

So the biggest difference is that at TESU, you'll get to choose where 114cr come from - if you like testing out, you can do CLEP/DSST/Saylor/Davar/Coopersmith, if you like courses, you can choose Sophia, Study.com, etc.  If you go with UMPI, you'll get to choose where 90cr come from, and you're a bit more limited on where (no NCCRS credits, so no Davar or Coopersmith), but can still choose between testing and taking courses.

It's that last bit (6cr at TESU, 30cr at UMPI) that really makes a difference - TESU is going to require quite a bit of writing for both the cornerstone and capstone, and UMPI is going to require writing for every course you take there (at least 10 courses).  But some will be less writing than even a SDC course - for instance the Composition II course at UMPI is less writing than either Sophia or SDC require for their Comp II course.

It's just a matter of preference.  So my advice is to map out both a UMPI BABA degree, and a TESU BSBA degree - and then do all of the courses that they have in common to see where you land.  You might think that you hate writing, but then find that it's not so bad, or find that you like not having everything come down to how you do on a single exam. Or you might think that you love testing, but find that you don't do great, or it's a lot of work to study for them, and a course might have been easier.

Once you figure out what you prefer, it's then that you can determine which direction you'd rather go.
