This isn't 100% true for UMPI. If you are completing the BLS first, then you need to graduate, apply again, and then complete an additional 30 credits for the second bachelor's degree. You won't have to complete the GEC or general electives again.
Then this statement does not apply to that particular degree; I'm replying to the OP that a dual degree (2 degrees or majors or minors or concentrations or whatever) done at the same time, is not the same as a first degree conferred, and then a 2nd degree gotten afterward. And that many schools do not make you get 30cr extra done while doing this.
If you are getting a BLS at UMPI, and then you graduate and then go back for a 2nd degree, then that's not a dual degree.
