Since the UK and Us are on similar systems and standards this seems odd..did you have the transcripts evaluated by a foreign credit evaluator ? You can look at the sites for the big 3 in the last post and see what if any eval service they use...
On a comp sci course unless they think your upper level are lower I would think most things would xfr over.
Here in the states most traditional schools you can xfr a max of 30 credits..if it is the same or close in the UK,the smart thing would be to take the classes you need to complete and then xfr them to that school. A UK degree should be just as accepted as one from here.
